Job Description

PCI is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager for its Interior Operations based out of California. This individual will be responsible for building new business opportunities with the California market to expand PCI’s business portfolio within the cleanroom and data room markets. This key sales strategist will also be responsible for successfully nurturing and cultivating relationships and business networks.

 

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

 

  • Contact and develop relationships with potential clients as identified in PCI strategic and business plan
  • Make direct contact with leads, proposals, prospects, prospective clients, and influencers
  • Provide monthly record of target client activity including contact, communication and results
  • Develop and implement marketing plans, objectives and relationship activities
  • Participate in business planning and product line development
  • Conduct an overview of prospective projects and leads, including competitive intelligence
  • Promote PCI by participating in relevant industry associations, conferences, and other opportunities
  • Prepare and manage proposals and qualifications for potential opportunities
  • Assist in training and mentoring of staff
  • Assist in pre-construction and estimating activities as it pertains to business objectives

Requirements

  • Minimum 10 years of experience working in business development in the construction industry
  • Experience with cleanroom, pharmaceutical, data center and other technology-based scopes preferred
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in business, construction management or marketing, or comparable work experience with strong business results
  • Proven experience preparing business proposals
  • Proven industry sales and business development experience in the California market with key partners and prospects
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage complex projects
  • Demonstrated proficiency with technology and the Microsoft Office work suite
  • Must be able to travel 70% of the time
  • Membership with ISPE or other industry-related associations considered a plus
