    Job Description

    PCI is currently seeking tenured Estimators to join our business units in several markets across the country. We have monumental opportunities on our plate, and need the right players to turn these opportunities into action. 


    This a rolling open application and candidates will be considered for their respective markets. Applicants who meet the qualifications needed for a specific market will be contacted.


    Estimators are responsible for the following duties:


    • Performing quantitative takeoffs on construction projects
    • Establish labor productivities for estimate
    • Maintain positive relationships with area vendors for competitive material and equipment pricing.
    • Solicit subcontractor pricing for work done outside of our self-perform group.
    • Understand the market conditions including competitive approach, backlog, level or risk for work and other factors for establishing margin percentages.
    • Be involved in the internal bid reviews with supervisors and project team.
    • Participate in the customer alignment objectives of the branch by creating and maintaining positive customer relations.
    • Contract administration for secured projects.
    • Prepare wage and benefit schedules.
    • Assist in the hand-off of secured projects to the Operations Team.
    • Assist in other duties as assigned such as change order management or billings depending on the project(s).

    • Minimum 5 years experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or comparable field, or commensurate work experience
    • Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel and Word
    • Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work
    • Must have skilled knowledge of estimating techniques, software and databases
    • Sharp understanding of bidding process
    • Ability to visualize various building techniques
    • Superb communication skills
    • Strong work ethic and moral ethics with the ability to exercise sound judgment
    • Ability to foresee problems and take corrective actions
    • OSHA Certification
    • Positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit
    • Thrives in a team environment
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Continued development of technical skills
    • Ability to work with customers building strong, continued relationships
