Job Description

PCG is seeking an experienced Human Resources Administrative Assistant for its corporate operations based Lenexa, KS. This individual will support Human Resources and assist the Benefits and Compensation department.


  • Set up departmental meetings, reserving rooms, ordering lunches, etc.
  • Assist all departments with ordering necessary supplies.
  • Filing; both paper and electronic of employee personnel files (new hires, terms, data changes) and drug testing (results, DOT files, invoices)
  • Assist with accounts payable such as coding invoices, credit card journal entries, and creating check requisitions.
  • Assist with New Hire process: On-boarding/Background/Pre-employment paperwork.
  • Support recruiting with registering for career fairs, shipping career fair materials, ordering and collecting inventory of recruiting trinkets.
  • Responsible for tracking the department’s Paid Time Off.
  • Complete annual occupational surveys for all states and federal.
  • Complete DOT cards, letters, and background verification attempts.
  • Create Drug Test compliance cards & letters.
  • Request Chain of Custody/Consent Form and cross check and request missing results.
  • Enter drug testing data results.
  • Assist the Benefits Department with Annual Mailings: Open Enrollment, Benefit Statement, ESOP statement, etc. – Printing, stuffing envelopes, mailing.
  • Assisting with Annual file purge for all departments as well as managing and monitoring off-site storage lists for Payroll, Benefits, & Salaried Compensation groups.
  • Assist with mail in Hourly Payroll – opening, sorting, and dispersing to the appropriate payroll coordinator for execution.
  • Assist Salaried Payroll during semi-monthly payroll & annual bonus runs, sorting pay-stubs, mailing, etc. (this should be minimized once the new HRIS system is implemented, but we will always have “live” checks)


  • Associate’s Degree (preferred) and a minimum of 2 (two) years relevant experience in an office environment performing data entry or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to prioritize and work on several tasks/projects at once in a high paced and high volume environment.
  • Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
